IPSA - Utah
The acronym IPSA stands for Intermountain Power Superintendents’ Association and represents the foresight, hard work and determination of many individuals over a period of 40 plus years. The idea to have a professional organization for non–union utilities was conceived in the mid to late 1970’s by a group of power superintendents and electrical suppliers, who along with Carl Crawford, wanted to put together an association for those working in the electrical utility industry. At that time there was no formal apprenticeship program for non-aligned lineman in our region.
